December 8, 2003I was driving our business ranger today and it was much cooler than normal. The idle was fine and no check engine light came on. As I accelerated the needle would up and down as I decelerated. Could this be the sending unit going bad? With the ignition on and engine off what is the voltage suppose to be?

December 9, 2003Im starting to have feelings that it is the Temperature Sensor. Only thing I dont know is what the voltage should be.
February 8, 2004yea i knowticed that on my 96 2.3l auto ranger, but it only when up when i was WOT, and only when i did it for extended periods of time, but i never had a problem of overheating, what year is it?
