I have always been a Ford person, had 2 F-150 (97, 01). Went to the Dodge as, I'll blame the wife, she like the looks and the company I worked for I was able to get Preferred Pricing (1% below Invoice). Had 3 1500's (03, 05, and 06 which was a quad). Was never really thrilled over the reliability of them. The 03' I had Lifters fail ad 17K, Power steering rack failed ad 25K. The 05' I had no real issues with other than an O2 sensor Failed at 11K. Got the 06 because needed more room, Rear passenger outside Axle Seal failed at 15K on a long trip, had the ball joints replace under a TSB at 28K. The other issue was I never felt like the truck was really stable on the road. suspension was wallowy if you know what I mean.
Had another Deal working for a 08' Quad 1500 but decided after all the "Issues" it was time to go back to the Ford and I wanted a Diesel for longevity and towing as I plan on keeping it a long time. So the deal was made.
Hope to learn a lot about Diesel as this is my first.
