December 18, 2011Hey guys! It been awhile since I have been here. I need some feedback. I`m going to trade my 2003 Ford F150 king ranch crew cab for 2002 F-250 XLT ext cab with long bed. 7.3 powerstroke. 4WD. F-250 has 246,000 miles on it. The guy I`m suppose to trade equal valve for my truck for his truck. He bought that truck with 60k miles on it and own it for 7 years. Truck has DP Tuner, 5 inch straight pipe with 6 inch tip, air raid intake, a-pillar pod with 3 gauges and digital DP Tuner. Truck has been changed oil very often. He sent oil test lab somewhere in Fort Wayne, IN and they said that, the oil passed the test and the engine run in good shape. I have test drove it and I was impressed with DP Tuner and truck still runs strong. He said that he been running with rev-x oil additives. Still on the original injectors and glow plugs. He said he never had any problem start it up in cold weather and plug the block heater on. So I`m suppose to trade it sometime soon and want to see what kind of feedback from you guys. Thank you.

December 19, 2011sounds like a good deal, but why?
you will be stepping up to an f-250, and he will be stepping down to an f-150
is the truck too big for his needs? and you want more truck than you have?
good trade if you can get it. the 7.3 should go for a million miles before needing an over haul if taken care of.
December 20, 2011He drive company truck everyday and his truck just sitting there and drive several time. He had F150 before so that`s why he would trade it with me. For me, why I want move up. I want to learn and experience diesel engine. I`m currently doing some diesel mechanic at my job so it will be good for me to learn. I also think that it`s a good deal n good trade. If I do trade trucks. There will be no truck payment. Both trucks have clean title. So that why I want to see other`s opinions.
December 21, 2011I`d do it myself.
but it is something you have to be comfortable with.
December 21, 2011I have an `01 F350 (7.3L, Auto, CrewCab, Longbed, 4x4) One of the best trucks I`ve owned. It`s my DD and I tow my 12Klb 5th Wheel. I have no trouble firing that bad boy up and going anywhere in it.
The 7.3L is a good platform to learn on.
