June 29, 2004How did you get to the sparkplug on the passenger side (the last one)? What extentions and in what order. I've been trying to get at it for about half an hour and cant seem to get it.. thanks.

June 30, 2004Get a bucker or small ladder, climb up ontop of the radiator cover and place left hand on wiper cowl for support and take plug socker with 6" extension (duct tapped together) and place it in the whole untill its on the plug. Then take the angling socket thingy and use that with additional extensions till you feel comfortable. I got that one out in about 10 minutes. There is no way to get it out unless you get on the radiator cover.
June 30, 2004Thats crazy... but I think Ill need to learn some acrobatics when I change the plugs on mine as well.
June 30, 2004it may sound crazy but you'de be surprised at how much easier it actually was for me. Even standing on the bucket i still couldn't even get to the #5 plug.
June 30, 2004yea im screwed, i fu#@$n messed up some of the o-rings on the fuel injectors when i took the fuel line off they stayed in the fuel line and when i replaced the fuel line they got cut up and i went to murrays today and they cant get them till the 5th, this really sucks, im gonna try what you said with climbing up on the radiator cover and also im going to stop at a couple more auto supply stores, thanks
July 1, 2004I also get onto the radiator cover makes it a lot easier also disconnect the wire harness on the firewall you can get a clear shot at it that way, you don't wanna go in there and strip the threads, good luck
July 1, 2004i've done mine a few times. get the small extension with the spark plug socket and stick that down the hole for the plug. then get another longer extension with a u-joint on the end of that. you might have to weave through some wires/hoses but you'll be able to get it
When in doubt and when in fear, drop a gear and disappear
