July 6, 2004Can anyone help me? My cruise control doesn't work i haven't used it in awhile i just tried to use it yesterday, and no go. It doesn't seem to work at all. Does anyone have any ideas? I heard that the dealer can be extremely expensive just to check the system. Please i don't want to just let it go.
July 7, 2004Mine went out a few months ago and I changed the sensor ontop of the master cylinder. It turns the cruise conrol off if you hit the brakes. Good luck. Call me if you gotta a question
July 7, 2004when u lifting you truck??? uhhhhhh your slackin greg.....tisk tisk
July 7, 2004Yeah I had to throw it on the back burner for awhile. Things have just come up to keep me delayed with my plans. But i keep my fingers crossed and keep saying to myself "SOON" haha
Anyway thanks for the input i'm gonna look into it ..... is there a way to know if it's bad before I go out and by one?
July 8, 2004The sensor on top of the master cylender is for the cruise control? My CC went out a while back and later that sensor burnt up. It almost melted through the master cylendar tank and kept blowing my brake fuses until I finally just unplugged it.
I wonder if all I have to do is replace the darn sensor... how much was it and what is it called?
July 8, 2004John just wondering how long it was that your "CC" went out? If that what you mentioned happens from letting it go for awhile I think i'm going to schedule a free day to work on mine.
July 8, 2004On my dads '94 F150, the control module was seized. I took the cover off, which is the electronic module, and found the the motor was seized up. I sprayed some oil in and had to us a pair of pliers to loose up the drive motor. He hates when I fix the parts after he has bought the new one. Now I have a spare for my other vehicles.
July 9, 2004I don't know if there is a way to check that sensor, but when mine went, out my brake lights didn't work. The sensor is like 20 bucks at ford, so I figued its worth a shot, but before u buy it ask the sales guy what is there return policy, so if it doesnt work you can return it.
Also might wanna check you fuses.
