August 22, 2005I hope your wife gets to feeling better. Sorry to here about her problems. A V-10 might be a good option now with Ford selling so many trucks of late theres bound to be a lot off used ones around. They will be willing to bargain with you. Best of luck to you an your family hope everything works out the best for both off you

August 22, 2005If your getting the 3/4 or 1 ton for anything other than looks, (if you need to tow or haul) stay away from the 5.4. Its just too small of an engine for a truck that big, expecially a crew cab. So its really if you want a gasser or a diesel, either the V-10 or the powerstroke. Milage will be a little less with the gas engine, but diesel costs more, at the moment. so its a trade off, but if you are planning on using your truck even moderately, I would stay away from the 5.4. That engine belongs in the 1/2 tons only.
Hold my beer and watch this!!!
August 23, 2005well, looks like for now i'm keeping her and goignto try to get caught up on the payments.
only got 3.5 years left to pay on her so might keep it atleast another 6 months to a year until can break even on a trade in or till its paid off and then look. but i think by then my wife will let me go 4wd, since we have her car as well and i'll jus tput some big steps on it, lol.
so i still plan to stay on here but more as a lurker for now, since there is lots of great info.
maybe by then i'll be able to go with a PSD instead of a gasser.
I've always had gassers until this truck and i jus tdon't know if i can go back, lol.
