October 18, 2005Once again, if you missed the last one(s), here is a couple of links. Feel free to answer those if you like as well if you have.
Ok, here is a question for October.
Have a great story to tell for Halloween? A Good Trick? A Great Treat ? Maybe a combination of the two? Something that happened? Maybe a silly stunt? Something your planning? Something you always Wanted Too? Share them with us all just for fun.
I have a couple wana hear about them? Tough. Your gana here it anyway.
Friend of mine, way back when I was young and stupid, (no comments please) and I stood on either side of a small but main road. When a car approached, we would both lean back away from each other and the road and pretend to hold a rope like it would be stretched across the road so the car would run into it. It was not there. Invisible to the driver. Like we would be THAT stupid to hold a real rope and have the car drag us down the street. You would not believe how many cars would come to a screeching halt and yell at us. They were always so mad at us for making them stop when there was nothing there. A guy actually got out of his car once and inspected the road to make sure there was nothing there. One woman stopped and refused to drive by us. She turned around and drove off back the way she came.
Well, not to out do ourselves, that little stunt made us come up with this doozy. I got a hold of some really strong thin black cord. We tied it across that very same street to two garbage cans. One on each side of the road. This was the days when everyone had metal garbage cans. The road was wide enough where when a car would drive through it, the cans would come speeding towards each other behind the car in a huge crash. Can tops flying off. Garbage flying up in the air. Cans then proceeding to follow the car like some demonic tin can tail from a car that held a couple who just got married (remember that), just, Bigger. Crashing and banging all over the road until the person decided to stop driving. That was when they finally figured out that that it was they that were making all the racket. When they finally did come to a stop, there was so much friggen noise, the people in the houses came out and started yelling at the idiot in the car for driving threw there garbage cans. The people in the houses thought the car drove up onto the sidewalk and took out the cans. What a riot.
I know, stupid kids... but what a memory.
Ok, Your Turn.
