February 24, 2010JT, the best place I know of is Smokey Bones there on VA Beach BLVD near the Pembroke Mall. Other than that, didn`t find any good BBQ places while I was there.

February 24, 2010I agree with Thermo, Smokey Bones has very good food. We`ve eaten there a couple times when visiting my sister. We were down there last weekend, my grandparents went out to eat with there cousin to the Smokey Bones in Greenbriar, 45min wait Saturday evening. They went somewhere else. Just a warning thats pretty much standard wait time for any restaurant on Saturday night. Get there early, if you dont wanna wait.
Loud, noisy, crowded and having to wait just to get a table is not for me. Id rather go to freakin Burger King or something.
February 25, 2010Smokey Bones has got my vote as well.
February 25, 2010For pulled pork bbq sandwich go to Beach Bully. For ribs definatley Smokey Bones.

February 26, 2010Frankie`s was at the oceanfront. They closed and moved locations. They are now on the blvd near rosemont rd. The new one is no where near as good as the old.
