July 2, 2010What`s up all! I am guessing this has been asked before but didn`t find it. My 96 4x4 is still under going investigting in terms of the driveline problem. Poor guy has tried loads of things and still can not isolate the problem. After trying a bunch of stuff, we both believe it is something in the overdrive part of the tranny. Anyways, I am gonna but a new/rebuilt tranny. He says the E4OD is much better than my AOD. Question is, can they be converted and if so, how??? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

September 21, 2010I know you posted this awhile ago, but the only way you would be able to run that E4OD is by swapping computers and transmission wiring harness over. You can get a pretty strong AOD (prob a AODE) cheap compared to an E4OD.
