November 17, 2010Question....
Buddy is putting a truck togethor.
1992 F150 2wd yes two wheel drive.
6" suspension with a 2" coil spacer. He has the 8" I-beam drop brackets to installed for the correct angles of the I-beams. Now, he is installing extended radius arms, but the arms dont fit, they are intended for use on a 6" lifted truck with factory radius arm brackets. He decided to try a 6" radius arm drop bracket, but it doesnt line up to the frame, also tried a factory radius arm, doesnt line up with the frame. Also he has the radius arm drop brackets that come with a leveling kit, he figured he would put those brackets togethor with the factory radius brackets, because thats how they work(they stack togethor, to drop the FACTORY radius bracket down the 2.5" or whatever the leveling kit measures out to be.
Anyways, one confusing situation im sure it sounds like to you guys, but in person it simplifies as the aftermarket skyjacker extended radius arms simply do not line up to ANY radius arm bracket at the frame.
He tried Dick Cepek arms, and NOW skyjacker arms.
Any info here?
I almost wonder if they are not intended for a 2wd, they are about an inch off from being lined up, to the radius brackets.
