July 20, 2011if it`s not leaking then it is burning it. how many miles was on the oil when you checked it ?
July 21, 2011may need to check it more often.
or if a shop changes the oil make sure they are putting the right amount in after the change.
would not be the first time I heard that an oil change place like a Jiffy lube did not put enough oil back in the motor.
July 21, 2011Lounge is right. I once discovered my oil was a quart low every time I had a shop change the oil. have not been back since.
also it is not uncommon for engines with that many miles to begin using some oil.
July 21, 2011Thanks for the responses so far. I change the oil when i`m home. My wife has it done when i`m deployed. I had changed the oil prior to discovering it was low. Im probably going to upgrade when I get home. My trucks also developed a little bit of a wobble between 60 and 70 mph. Trucks taken care of me for a long time but i think its time to move on.
