August 10, 2011This past Saturday my Daughter and I threw a 30th surprise birthday party for her new husband. We used my boat club that has a beautiful view over the Delaware River and a huge Pavilion to stay out of the sun. There were about 60 people there from 2:00P.M.till 1:00A.M. We played horse shoes and a few of my buddies took people for boat rides. No one left pickled which was great!

August 19, 2011well
today was a rough day
I got the chance to work on my truck so I fixed my nerf bars, changed my antifreeze. that took all morning of wrenching, welding, wrenching and changing fluids.
so I went and ran some errands. and the front end of the truck started making a grinding noise like I was loosing a unit bearing on the driver side.
now I`m already paranoid of them because of the failure rates on unit bearing.
so I baby it home and pull the wheel off to see what is going on.
I wank the caliper to find one brake pad is worn to the metal. but the other one is fine!
so I look around the garage for my old pads. I always keep a set just incase something like this happens. I can`t find them!
so I have to put it back together with the bad pad so I can baby it to the auto parts store to get new brakes.
I babied it the whole way, but I still wore a grove in the rotor.
so now next week I have to get a new rotor for the driver side
August 19, 2011so part two for today
was dinner time. it start to rain heavily. I went out to get dinner and the rain was quarter size drops coming down hard. street were flooding around the neighbor hood.
so I purposely drove the back way into my neighbor hood to check to see if our new drainage system would be working.
and it was! the water on the curb was high but was draining off the road with no problem.
went in the house, sat down and ate dinner. 30-45 minutes passed. I walked out to the front door to look out.
not it has been raining hard the whole time. open the front door and ther is 3-4 feet of water in the street and the yard.
down the street were the new drainage system is was about 4-5 feet of water,
needless to say the garage got flooded. but not the crawl space or the rec room.
but I just got in from pumping out crawl spaces and rec rooms
August 20, 2011man that sucks , time for a cold beer when your done with all that
August 20, 2011well the clean up is done.
got the garage cleaned out and hosed all the mud and crap out.
they sent a trash truck around to pick up the damaged stuff we had to get rid of. it took them about two hours to load the truck of everything in a six house area.
now I have my welding blower on in the garage to help dry it out.
