September 12, 2011so I was going to work on my air tanks when I ran into my ground strap lugs laying on the work bench.
now being that my truck has been acting up just a little, I figured I would get it all together and re install them.
I could only find three clips so I did what I had to do to make them work again.
so first I drilled out the rivet that held the old wire on the clips.
I used 12 awg 600 volt wire and lugs to hook the wire back to the clips.
so when I had the whole thing back and ready to go on the truck I sprayed the clips and all with rust reformer.
once I had it all done I put them back on the truck. the passenger side only had one clip. but the body mount had the hole for the parking brake cable in it when it is on the driver side.
so I used a bigger ring lug and a bolt to secure it to the frame.
I only took a picture of the driver side cable installed because the passenger side is behind the body mount so there is nothing to see.
so we will see if this makes any difference in how the truck operates in the up coming weeks.
