September 14, 2011Need help/advice please. Going to replace rotors and rear brake pads of my `02 KR 4x4 and had a question on these things called shoe/pad slippers. If you buy Motorcraft pads they come with 4 new ones but if you buy another brand they do not. My question is do these need to be replaced or can you reuse the ones there? I am looking at EBC rotors and brakes so not even sure their brake pads would utilize these slippers? I know the EBC do not come with slippers. Thanks all.

September 14, 2011they are the thin plastic or sometimes metal shims that you put between the caliper and the brake pad?
to stop the chirping noise that you sometimes get with brakes?
you may not need them with certain after market brake pads
September 16, 2011Aren`t slippers the little thingys that go where the caliper mounts to the caliper support under the ends of the pads and caliper on just the rear brakes?
Now that is what one of my english teachers called a run-on sentence.
