ok, so i took my 2008 f250 to the dealership the other day. it has a 6.4 in it just to clarify. it was making a chirping tapping noise from the top side of the motor. the say that the high pressure injector pump is going out and that the fuel has metal in it. the recommend changing out the entire fuel system. injectors , lines, fuel filter reservoirs you name it along with the injector pump. now the pickup still runs great at the moment. and i know i need to replace at least the injector pump. what my question is, do you think the dealorship is just trying to get more money out of me or do you think i actually need to replace the whole fuel system or can i get by with just changing the injector pump and maybe flushing the tank? opinions greatly appreciated
